Business Analytics can be used to optimize business processes and gain insights that help us make data driven decisions.
There are three levels of analytics that we use to answer business questions:

Descriptive Analytics asks us the question, what happened? We call this hindsight.

Predictive Analytics asks us what will happen? We call this insight.

Prescriptive Analytics asks us how can we make this happen? We call this foresight.
